Narrative Summary:
The mission of Project Waste
is for students to build a foundation of knowledge about
preventing pollution and conserving natural resources
through reducing, reusing, recycling and proper disposal of
waste. This knowledge will enable students to advocate
for environmental responsibility and to make informed
healthful decisions that will foster lifelong positive
behaviors. The curriculum revolves around 5 themes:
- Identification
- Waste Management
- Prevention
- Investigation
- Advocacy
