Problems of the Week are math problems focusing on graphing which have been adapted directly from FOSS student worksheets. They require no additional materials to complete. The Practice Inquiry Tasks may require students to manipulate materials, although in some cases the data is supplied to the students and they simply need to complete the analysis. The Practice Inquiry Tasks consist of tasks developed by the SMILES team at the East Bay Educational Collaborative, plus adapted versions of the released tasks from the NECAP 4th grade test for 2008 and 2009. These tests have been adapted to include sample student data so that the students are not required to manipulate actual equipment. They simply take the data provided and do the analysis.
